Description
Looking for a Part-Time accountant for a growing company in the Irvine area. Work schedule would be 2 days a week, 8 hours a day. Prefer Tuesday and Thursday
Accounting Clerk
As delegated, maintain daily, monthly and quarterly transactional details of company and communicate these details to Controller. Primarily Accounts Payable, some Accounts Receivable and HR Support.
Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
•Set up new vendors, obtaining W-9 forms as needed.
•Accurate AP invoice coding to proper GL accounts.
•Enter AP invoices into accounting system.
•Investigate AP invoice discrepancies.
•Tie AP invoices to Purchase Orders and Client Budgets.
•Print and mail vendor checks.
•File invoices and maintain organized vendor files.
•Reconcile monthly bank account statements – 2 accounts.
•Assist Controller w/filing annual Form 1099s and 1096.
•Handle accounts payable inquiries from internal team and external vendors.
•Accurate Credit Card charge coding to proper GL accounts.
•Enter Credit Card charges (6 accounts) into accounting system.
•Investigate Credit Card charge discrepancies.
•Tie Credit Card charges to supporting documentation.
•Reconcile monthly Credit Card Statements.
Accounts Receivable:
•Assist Controller with Monthly Retainer billing by the 1st of each month.
•Book receipts into the accounting system to offset proper invoices.
•Communicate discrepancies to Controller.
•Project billing assistance, as needed.
•Run Month-End billing reports.
Other Duties Assigned, but not Limited to:
Under direction of the Controller, assist with:
•Reconcile accounts payable related GL accounts.
•Support the monthly and annual financial close process.
•Process benefits enrollment paperwork for internal team.
•Filing, assist with organizing and archiving accounting information.
