Essential Duties And Responsibilities
** Accounting experience in the hotel industry with restaurant & banquet facilities is a plus**
** Experience with any major full service hotel chains or with smaller chains with restaurant & banquet facilities is a plus **
– Responsible for monitoring day-to-day activity, monthly closing, prepare journal entries, analyze and prepare summaries of accounts, verify reports for accuracy.
– Prepare and review financial statements as part of monthly reports for accuracy.
– Prepare management reports monthly summarizing data comparing current month/year versus previous monthly/year with detailed explanations of variances.
– Continuous reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to include maintaining backup documentation.
– Prepare other management reports, and ensuring timely and accurate financial data.
– Assist CPA by gather and organizing all data for Tax Returns.
– Assist in audit preparation, providing financial information and other assistance as needed.
– Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 – 7 years of accounting in a HIGH VOLUME ENVIRONMENT
* MAS 200 experience is a plus
* Month-end close experience required
* Account reconciliation experience required
* FRx experience is a plus
* Strong Excel experience required
