Description

This is a full-time position with both bookkeeping and administrative responsibilities including:
– Administrative support for the Director of Operations and Organization;
– Keeping and managing records of financial transactions;
– Verifying and allocating business transactions and otherwise manage the books of accounts in journals or computer files from documents, such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts;
– Prepare ledgers and reconcile and balance accounts;
-Maintain historical records by filing documents;
-Other project-based work that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
-An Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, as well as working knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles. Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of Quick Books accounting software.
-2 years minimum bookkeeping experience;
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point);
-Proficiency in Intuit Quickbooks;
-Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat;

-Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively
-Ability to work effectively under pressure, be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to work independently, as well as cooperate as a team player
